Appointments
- Standard appointments are 10–15 minutes
- Longer appointments are available for complex issues, mental health, care plans, or multiple concerns. Please advise reception when booking
- Urgent appointments will be prioritised where possible
- Walk-in appointments available
Billing Policy
- Bulk billing available for all patients with a Medicare card
- Private fees may apply for patients without a Medicare card at Medicare rates
- Payment is required on the day (EFTPOS and Medicare claiming available)
Prescriptions & Referrals
- Repeat prescriptions and referrals require an appointment with your doctor
- We encourage regular health reviews to ensure safe and effective care
Test Results & Recalls
- Results will not be given over the phone unless arranged with your doctor
- You will be contacted if follow-up is required
- Our practice has a recall/reminder system for preventative health checks and chronic disease management. Please advise reception if you wish to opt out
Communication Policy
Doctors in this practice may be contacted during normal opening hours. If the doctor is with a patient, our highly trained reception or nursing staff will take a message, and advise you when it would be likely that your doctor will answer your query. In an emergency your call will always be put through to a nurse or GP.
Privacy & Confidentiality
Your medical record is a confidential document. It is the policy of this practice to maintain the security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of staff.
We abide by the 13 APPs (Australian Privacy Principles) contained in schedule 1 of the Privacy Act 1988. These can be found at www.oaic.gov.au/privacy/privacyact/australian-privacy-principles.
Doctors and staff will disclose to third parties only that information which is required to fulfil the needs of that patient. A patient's health information may be disclosed to a third party if it is a health service provider providing a health service to the individual, and this information is necessary to ensure that further health services are provided safely and effectively.
If you require a copy of your medical records for your own personal use, we ask you complete a request form and provide your driver's license details to ensure we are giving the right person the correct information. A fee may be required for this service.
